I'll keep this short, rather than the two pages I COULD write detailing all the things he tried and the results of each.
Bottom line: when he replaced the fan clutch WITH A FACTORY OEM PART, his overheating problem was fixed. (He'd had at least four new aftermarket fan clutches from different brands).

I have a 85 Ramcharger I went through this with and replacing with a factory clutch fixed it! Did radiator, belts, pump, thermostat and aftermarket clutch no help. Finally bit the bullet and bought the mega-buck factory unit solved it. Right back to where it ran when brand new, yes I have owned it since dec 84 took delivery with 18 miles on it. :B
