Not a fan of slides...opinions vary. In a smaller Class C a slide does not add all that much usable space but do add considerable weight. Our 24 Nexus is 101" wide and has a full 7' of headroom throughout the coach. With a very liveable floorplan we have never missed having a slide in 5+ years and 52K+ miles.
We spend about 13 hours a day outside of our coach as we camp most of the time further reducing any need for extra space but then it is just my bride and I {since our doggie passed over the Rainbow Bridge... sigh}. Someday another pooch for sure.
Also consider that you read many complaints from folks with Ford chassis' that have a drivers side slide as it restricts your ability to push the drivers seat back or fully recline. Hardly a day goes by on this Forum without multiple posts about slide failures... but I have never had one. :B
