Had slides b4 on a 39c run over. Almost 4k in repairs over the 12 years we owned it for the slide alone. Leaked, failed to retract once, got out of alignment and munched parts..
Downsized to a thor 23u. No slide. Box is stronger, less movement of overhead cab on crappy dirt roads, less wind hum (desert campers) on the slide awning topperdealeo, less draft, less weight more cargo capacity. Less headaches. Throw the dirt bike on the hitch rack, gone in 5 min. Also less space to heat in winter.
