The great slide vs no slide debate

I made a personal choice and decision based on my experience and needs. Others should feel free to do exactly the same.

I see it as no different than the reasons some people buy a sedan...yet others buy an SUV...and still others prefer a pickup.
It requires no 'debate'.

I agree. I do think threads like this help newbies determine if a slide is for them or not - when it sticks to personal reasons for having or not having a slide. It's when folks start making generalized and/or unproven statements that things go sideways.
