The only drawback I've seen in the past 20yrs is having to climb up there and hose off the top of the slide every time we bring it back in. We camp under the trees in most of our favorite places.
That said, I we could have bought our RV with the same floor plan without a slide, I would have bought it instead.
If I had $100k laying around cluttering up the floor, I'd have a 31' no slide Airstream Classic in a heartbeat! :)
