- sundance_8ExplorerLake Fanny Hooe campground in Copper Harbor, Michigan. We were there last week. Pretty remote and beautiful.
Also camped at the arctic circle on the Dempster highway. - mena661Explorer

Been to La Jalama before. Very nice, quiet CG. Class A's could get in there easily. I probably wouldn't call that remote as there are SOME homes in the general area. There's isn't much around there though. Glamis and Borrego are remote IMO (there is the small town of Borrego Springs that has a nice RV park but there's TONS of remote camping around there and further south).
Never been there, Jalama Beach County Park seems to be in a somewhat remote spot in County of Santa Barbara, CA. Jalama Beach is approximately an hour drive from Santa Barbara and a 45-minute drive from Lompoc. A sign 4.5 miles south of Lompoc off Highway 1 will direct you onto Jalama Road. Follow this scenic 14.5 mile road to the coast. The park entrance will be at the end of the road. - karead7ExplorerMost remote place we've been with our motorhome? Well, it doesn't compare to the Arctic circle, but Meat Cove, Nova Scotia is the most northerly tip of Nova Scotia...and there's a campground there!
It's absolutely beautiful...

I'd say we have a winner, provided it was with the RV - mockturtleExplorer II

- Son_of_NorwayExplorerThe most remote place that I have taken a class A RV to is Rainbow Lakes Campground in the Roosevelt National Forest outside of Nederland CO. The road into it is 6 miles of ONE lane jeep road. The campground is right up against the continental divide at 10,000 feet and the fishing is great. The RV? A '72 Winnebago Indian.
Miles - DesertHawkExplorer:S The Springtime Campground (but only 12 miles south of I-25 exit #115 via NM 1, FR 225; we always used the Red Rock Exit 100, then NM 1 N to FM 225) and the Luna Park Campground (only 8 miles northeast of Monticello via FRs 139 & 225, but we used CoRd 34 from exit 92 off I-25) always seemed pretty remote. In Southern New Mexico between Socorro & Truth or Consequences (TorC).
Red Cloud Campground (18 miles southwest of Corona via US 54 and FRs 161 & 399 Latitude: 34.2103491 Longitude: -105.7558336) seemed pretty remote as well.
In the Gila Nat'l Forest (on the edge of the Gila Wilderness), Dipping Vat Campground is adjacent to the west side of Snow Lake. Snow Lake is approximately 52 miles southeast of Reserve, New Mexico. Willow Creek Campground is near by as well; approximately 55 miles from the town of Reserve. But from over by Glenwood, from US 180 to Mogollon on NM 159, then FR 142 & FM 1421, it is only about 36 miles. Maybe a little less than two hours to drive.
I must be honest, I have never had a Class A. I have camped at Willow Creek in a small TC. I have driven by Spring Time & Luna with a Scout II & a CJ-7; I tent camped dispersed near Luna & on the road to Spring Time we dispersed in a Class C. I drove over to Snow Lake (small TC) and drove by Red Cloud in a Ford Ranger deer hunting.
IMHO, a Class A could reach each of the campgrounds I have listed. All are on graded roads, some gravel, some natural sand & gravel. Spring Time & Luna roadway can have rocks as well now & again. The road to them loops around to both of the campgrounds & returns to the I-25 area.

A Somewhat Remote Place with a Jalama Beach Store and Grill serving "World Famous Jalama Burgers" & an extended menu that includes homemade clam chowder, chile verde and "Aunt Ruth's Raw Apple Cake." With 109 campsites, all overlooking the ocean or beachfront. Each site has a picnic table and BBQ pit, with hot showers, restrooms and water nearby. 31 sites offer electrical hookups, and dump stations are available. Campsites reservations are available.
$$$$ :( Fees to Be Somewhat Remote - msmith1199Explorer IIBut it's free. That may make the 80 mile round trip on a dirt road worth it!
Also not this is a remote "campground" and not necessarily remote camping. There are places in the Southwest where you could get a lot more remote than 40 miles off road and be there all by yourself. There's places you could go in Nevada where you may even be the only person within a 50 mile radius.
