I'm told by my insurance agency that I have Towing coverage on my RV to the nearest repair facility along with loss of use. Do I really need another policy like Good Sam's Club or other? I don't think I have Tire change coverage and I would like to have that but not sure about spending another $100 a year on coverage that I may already have

Good Sam will say you do, lol. My Farmer's agent says I need no further coverage since the trailer is covered under my truck's policy when on the road. As for Road Side Assitance my agent tells me to pay the bill and Farmer's will reimburse me. Check with your agent.

I would guess that most standard insurers are going to have a relatively low dollar allowable for towing.I know when I lost a wheel on my 5er, I maxed out whatever my insurer would pay (I think it was SAFECO) as well as AAA. And still had to come out of pocket. It was around a 50 mile tow to the nearest service center.

If you have ERS coverage within your vehicle/motorhome/towable insurance policy, does an emergency call for assistance count as a claim on your policy, with a resulting rate increase at renewal? Apparently, some insurers do.

Check if they will reimburse towing your RV for fixing a flat or to call mobile tire service to change on the spot. Also check the policy maximum miles or cost that will be reimbursed.Keep in mind that $100 initial rate may renew at a higher price even with not using the service.

Maybe the answer is as simple as asking your insurer if you have tire change coverage? And while you've got them on the line, ask what else your towing coverage includes?
Or am I missing something?
