The SW3012 will NOT have any effect on this perceived problem. Once the generator is running, (in your scenario) it will still require you to make a decision to switch back to shore or inverter power. The S3012 does not have, nor does it add, any circuitry to sense when shore power returns IF the generator is currently running.
(In other words, the returning shore power has no way of gaining control of your main transfer switch if the generator is running when power is restored.)
As for the switching time. It is sufficiently fast to be transparent when it actually switches.
