We have owned 9 RV'S and have camped and traveled since the early 80's. None are perfect, and problems come with owning one. The true measure of a company, is how they step up to the plate if there are problems, ie; answering phone calls, letters, emails, etc. If they do turn out a Lemon, they work with their customer. We did not find that to be the case with Thor.
Tiffin, Newmar, Winnebago, Monaco are well regarded, along with other brands. Also, all brands do not have the same re-sale/trade in value. A companys reputation means a lot. You will hear good and bad about all of them, but with good research, you will get a good feel, for the direction to go. Where there's smoke, there's usually fire, and all that glitters, isn't gold. ( to use some old clichés).
We've owned a Tiffin since 05. In our opinion, you just can't beat their customer service. If we are on the road, and have a problem, they answer their phone! The Tiffin family and their employees are some of the nicest people you can meet. TiffinRV.net is a great forum and members discuss all brands. You might want to check that forum.
Good luck with your choice.
