- PSWExplorerGarmp owns a Phoenix Cruiser and we do also. We researched Cs for about two years prior to our decision to buy and then we were incredibly lucky to find an eleven month old unit for sale by owner within five miles of our home. He decided he wanted a diesel pusher.
We have now owned our PC for almost five years and have had virtually zero problems with it. The Ford motor is bullet proof and the overall fit and finish of the PC is excellent.
The folks that started Phoenix Cruiser sold it to a new group this year so that is a new consideration. You can find great used PCs around if you are diligent and spend a little time looking.

Check out this thread. https://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/29646367/gotomsg/29647142.cfm#29647142 You may want to do a search for other postings of Ron Dittmer's - we found them very educational and helpful when we first started to look. Good luck!
Double ditto. Check out the Phoenix Cruisers. You can buy them direct from the factory and I like the quality as well as the floor plan options better. They have some outstanding floor plans under 28' in length. They also provide customer education videos for operating the mh.

Probably best driver/passenger comfort of all C's. Good mileage, compact parking. Most detractors DON'T have one and they cite poor parts and service support along high maintenance expense.
My buy-in on this is that you need to be in love the the idea it's an MB, or drive a lot to justify the additional costs. Most of us won't earn the price difference back in MPG savings. For example, we bought our coach in 2008 and haven't put 20,000 miles on it yet. It'd probably take 100,000 to buy back the additional price of a Sprinter over a Ford.
The specific coach? Wouldn't want it. Just not enough room. A corner bed that has to be made up from several couch cushions. Make up every night? Absolutely not. Same with turning Couch into Bed. Not.
You've been on the hunt around a year now. I'm just not sure what you're hunting FOR. You've gone from old to new, long to short, now gas to diesel.
What's the utilization? How many of you are traveling? How far? How long? Where? Which seasons? - Willow13ExplorerCheck out this thread. https://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/29646367/gotomsg/29647142.cfm#29647142 You may want to do a search for other postings of Ron Dittmer's - we found them very educational and helpful when we first started to look. - luberhillExplorerOk lets try this...what is a decent well made brand of C under 30 ft ?? Ive heard on here Thor is garbage,,,stay away from diesel...so give me some optiong I SHOULD consider....thx
- klutchdustExplorer IIThe Mercedes is expensive to repair. Having owned older Mercedes Diesel's and being a mechanic myself, I have found the local shops to be way expensive. Personally, I feel more comfortable with a Ford V-10 and access to help if I need it while traveling.
If there are savings in fuel consumption I believe it will be gobbled up when servicing and maintenance needs arise. - magnusfideExplorer III'd check the Blue Book value first and then go take a look at it. The Fleetwood Quest was only made for that one year and there's less than 200 of them sold. Personally I don't care for diesel or for corner beds but that's just me.
