    X2
I have personally put down 1000s of sq feet of laminate
To me it it is garbage. Looks pretty in a picture though
I’ll take carpet in the bedroom and living area and tile in kit and bath.

Does the slide leave a heavy mark in the current carpet? If so then it may also hit the vinyl.

Yes it does leave a mark but not heavy, the carpet/pad is about 3 to 4 times thicker than the laminate flooring I am going to put down, I guess when I remove the carpet I will test with a piece of laminate to see what it does.
  • Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring. Removed the glued down tiles and all carpeting. Replaced bedroom and front cab area with new carpeting. The vinyl is thinner than the carpeting so no real issues. I did not do the slideout carpeting. or under the slideout.

  • I also heard slidouts can scratch the laminate flooring, the laminate I am looking at is thinner than the carpet/pad, would this be a issue.
