Tire Sun Shades

I want to purchase some tire shades for the motorhome. Looking for snap on or twist on fasteners.

I need some custom made shades as the straight line (rectangular) style won't work as the shade needs to go around a slideout support and some docking lights.

Any thoughts beyond checking with someone that makes awnings or boat covers?

Might look at Magne Shade website. http://www.magneshade.com

I have a set of these. Really neat looking, they cover the tire but not the alum wheel.
  • Buy a gallon of 303, and spray on 1x per month. Tires look great, and it protects the tires. I've never used covers, and I've never had any cracking issues over the life of the tires. Btw, mh spends most of its time in Florida.

Had custom made at the Oasis RV resort in Las Vegas. He used snaps and sewed right on site. I think it was around 200.00 for the set of four.

Whoa! :E A couple in our park make them on site in our park for $80 for a set of 4. They attach with suction cups.

This is where I ordered our tire covers. The have elastic bands built into the top part so it hugs the tire. They come in black or white, I bought black.

These type of covers give you 100% protection. The thought of putting so many snaps on the fiberglass of the coach is not a plus to me.

    Good luck,
    MM.

  • Yes, an awning or boat cover shop should be able to measure your MH, make them, and install them very easily. One thing to keep in mind, your Class A probably has air suspension. When they measure, do you want them to touch the ground when the suspension is aired up or aired down. It will make a 2" to 3" difference in the height of the covers.
