Transmission oil change 3 gallons low
I got a message on my Trip Tek system that simply said "oil" When I looked it up on the checklist, it read transmission oil so I figured this was the 5,000 mile oil and filter change that I had heard...

Ummm...your transmission holds 10 gallons according to your post. The "kid" put in 5 gallons, charged you for six, then the other guys put in 3.5 gallons....by my figures, 5+3.5=8.5 gallons. 10 gallons - 8.5 gallons, leaves you 1.5 gallons SHORT.....while it looks like you checked up on the guys that worked on your coach you didn't quite get it right when you left.....later you said you added two quarts....well that still leaves you short. Dipsticks are notoriously inaccurate. When I had my oil changed, 42 qts., I checked the dipstick and marked the correct place that it should be. You should fill the tranny with you 10 gallons THEN check the dipstick, THEN it will be accurate.....Dennis
