Trouble Getting Lens Covers Off Ceiling Lights

Anyone have any good ideas on how to get the glass lens covers off ceiling lights? I have several bulbs that have burned out and want to replace them, but I have twisted until my arm was going to brea...

Get one of these jar top removers. Jar top remover. You push it up into the ceiling with one hand and squeeze/turn with the other. I got mine hanging on a shelf at Wal Mart and I think it was about 2-3 bucks.
