Next question on the search for next MH. I have decided (although DW is not totally on board yet) that a 10-12 yo quality DP is a the best deal for us, but.... I see so many posts on DP chassis ...

I agree with that......the couple we bought from had been separated then got back together again. She had the Beaver coach and while separated he bought a newer Monaco. They had to sell the Beaver as they were building a new home at the time. I offered way less than their asking price that was super high. At first they said no, but after a couple of days returned a call and agreed to my offer.
It needed tires as soon as I picked it up, still original ones.And all the roof covers were old and brittle...it adds up quick with $$$$
