If you are connected to municipal water, there are already enough chemicals in that water to disinfect your tank. If you have some strange odors or taste, a box of baking soda dissolved in water and dumped in to your hose to fill the tank will get rid of the odor and taste. NO need to fill the tank completely if you can drive the coach. Half full will allow it to splash around. Be sure to run all of your faucets and allow it to completely fill your hot water tank which is a main source of odors.
