Bleach is an oxidizer - I'm surprised it hasn't caught fire

HR: Good response, pays to not take a chance, if just for the peace of mind....
FWIW
Sully may not be off the mark, 1 cup of bleach at 6% solution is less than a 1/2 ounce of Chlorine in 90 gallons of fuel. (11,520 ounces)
It certainly isn't super chlorinated.... I'd look to the water separator. And the nice part is we don't have to prove it,-- opinions you know!!! Everybody's got one..
And as Bartels and James used to say.....We thank you for your suppport!! - hooliganExplorerHR: Good response, pays to not take a chance, if just for the peace of mind....

memory bank for when I might need a cool headed repair !! - johnwalkerpa1ExplorerInteresting thread!
I was just wondering...has anyone personally known of a case where someone got beach in a fuel tank and it caused damage? Or is it all speculation? And, of course, I am talking about a small amount, not someone dumping in 20-30 gallons, etc :)
I am not doubting anyone one way or the other....in fact it never even crossed my mind before reading this thread.....I am just curious if anyone has first-hand knowledge of this happening or if most are repeating something heard second-hand. - sundance_8Explorer

One good thing - no algae growing in the fuel? :h
When I first saw this thread I thought this was why it happened.
