Vapor Lock

Today it's 92 degrees out and have had the generator running for 4 hours or so. The generator has stop on us three times, and after a few minutes I could get it started again by playing with the choke manually. Once it would start again it seems to race a little then calm down and run fine untill the next episode. Could this be vapor locking because of the heat?

Doubtful on vapor lock. I would start by checking all the rubber hoses for cracks especially around connectors. It could be sucking air causing it to basically run out of fuel.
I will check hoses in morning, i will tell you this I just started up and it was racing pretty high which I didn't think it could with the governor set for 1800, or am I missing something thinking that?
