Westfalia already has one conversion of the new Ford Transit Custom out in the market. They don't have an English version of their webpage yet, but you can look at the pictures and see the 360° panorama (that I have made ;) )

There is an upper bed, so it sleeps four. But it has no bathroom :-(

Why bother? MB won't sell the Westfalia in the US and they won't allow the US and Canadian manufactures of Class B's to cut the roof without voiding the warranty.

If the winds are warm it really doesnt matter much. I seem to remember, during my youth, travelling through Minot, ND and, boy, the winds were coming from all directions. Coming from Winnipeg,Man. you can understand...

I've found that the winds tend to know which way I'm going... and can whip around in an instant to make sure that they stay as headwinds. :C

It seems to me as I head south from ND/MN to AZ that the winds are most commonly from the NW... except when they aren't.

It definitely makes a difference in the mileage... for me about 2 mpg.

most prevailing winds are from west to east so if traveling cross country its better going from west to east if possible and have the wind give you little push,you'd be surprised how much fuel that saves!

My last two Westies had the galley on the drivers side, the current (see video above) on the passenger side. I like them both.

I've always fantasized that my dream RV would be a Class B with interior design by Westfalia, upbuild by Pleasure-way, on a Sprinter chassis.

Only deal breaker would be galley on the driver side of the van.
