I have a gas 8.1 GM engine in a 36 foot Class A. I always pull a toad, it weighs 4,020lb.

We run coast to coast and live in California with lots of mountain trips. Pulls just fine. From what I've read on here the V10 does a good job too.

I averaged 7.1 mpg over 65,000 miles. So I figure that's 14 mpg if I pull a toad, right? Two vehicles for same amount of gas? So pull a toad....it doubles your gas milage!

I think you'd be wise to buy a gas engine and use the money you save on camping trips.
