I would think for the amount of time you are using the coach a gas Class A is fine. As far as the V10, I can't comment but everyone that I've spoken to about it seems to be satisfied. We have the 8.1 in our Workhorse chassis and tow a pt Cruiser convertible and it has NO lack for power. Avg. 7.5 mpg and are very happy with the performance. Good luck in your decision.
