We have a 2014 34ft with the v10 and tow a Jeep Wrangler no problem. We previously had a 2006 37ft DP with the Cat c7 that we also towed the Jeep with. Both the DP and our current gas mh averaged about $.50 a mile in fuel costs. Our gas mh actually goes up our mountain passes a little faster than the diesel did. For your intended uses I think gas makes more sense. If you were going 39ft or larger and\or living in it full time, or driving it a lot more than diesel would work best. By the way our first class A was a 99 with the first generation v10 with 275 horsepower. The 2006 and newer v10 with 362 horsepower and 5 speed tranny is a big improvement in performance, especially on the 22 or 24k chassis with the 22.5 in wheels.
