I have a 35 foot v10 and pull a 3100 pound car. No problems with power. Yes I slow down on hills but most everyone else does too. Most every up hill has a down hill and I can run with anyone going downhill. :) Seriously, if I were a full timer moving around a lot I might consider diesel, but no way I can justify it at 5-10 thousand miles a year.
