I've had good luck straightening a few bent (not kinked!) awning tubes over the years. My technique calls for supporting both ends of the tube on ladders high enough to leave some slack in the fabric with the bend on top. Then I just grab the center of the tube from each side with my hands spread a bit, and hang my body weight down until the tube passes just a little below straight before letting go. Depending on the length and severity of the bend, I may even bounce a little if needed, being careful not to over do it. I use a string to check the tube as I go. I've never destroyed a tube doing this, although it hasn't always been completely successful either. Even in those cases though, it was significantly improved, allowing the awning to roll up normally. It costs nothing to try...
