Gjac....Well, I darn sure don't want any water hitting my manifolds..and yes my Allegro 454 had leaks too....seems everywhere I read everyone has manifold trouble....it must be the trapped heat....I have had countless other vehicles and had no problem except hedders blowing gaskets,currently have a 53 Studebaker I built with EFI LT1 eng and Camaro cast iron manifolds that have never blown gaskets and my inner fenders get so hot you cant touch them...
It seems hedders are the answer most likely ...the separation of the port tubes contributes to less heat and leaks.
I cant justify Banks price and cannot find any others..
