- Don_s_LockExplorerWhat ever do not remove valve caps in the wet bay!!
The vales will pop out they have o rings etc on them and when you put
the vales back in you have to pressure fit the turn cap on in order
to keep vales together. How I know is I had city water check valve go
bad and not knowing what I was doing took every thing apart!!
Got it all back together and working but was sure frustrated.
Don - helperzackExplorerFINALLY got around to getting into this problem.
Removed the top part of the water compartment to find the the leak. It was at the water pump. The connectors on both the in and out had apparently vibrated loose. I hand tightened them and now only find a very slight drip around the blue latch looking things.
It is a Flojet pump and seems to be working well except this tiny drip now. Will research further to see if some type of O ring or something may need replaced. I may be able to find Flojet info on the internet, haven't gotten that far yet.
It was very tight space so I held my smart phone down in there and took photos from every angle. Helped ID the pump and model number.
Thanks to everyone for your comments. - bsinmichExplorerWhy would you want to fix a "good" water leak. I would only fix a BAD one.
- M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerCheck the water pump to see if it is leaking around the seals...if it is this would be caused to the water pressure coming in to your RV being too high of a pressure

Regulator is one of the metal ones, in line, I think I picked it up at CW.
Don't know where this is in your system, but my metal regulator leaks when I forget to tighten the 'guts'. There is a hex bolty thing inside that loosens up periodically. And it only leaks in one direction since it has a built in one way device. - dan-nickieExplorerRemove the cover and see where it is leaking.
Had this on a friends unit recently and just needed to tighten a hose clamp. - NorCal_DanExplorerOn my coach the water pump will allow blow-by water into my fresh water tank if city pressure is high. But the over-full drain for the fresh tank is on the other side of the coach. If your leak is in your water bay then I would suspect something is loose or needs new gasket. Possible the water hose is loose inside the water bay?
- MushroomExplorerI won't pretend to have the answer, but it seems the difference is that if you hook up to city water you are allowing pressure to build up in the line ( not a bad thing ) but if you are filling the tank from the same connection there is no pressure on your joints, connectors, or line.

Water compartment is the one door under my unit which is designated "water works" by coachmen. Everything associated with water is in this one basement compartment. Intake connection, black tank rinse, valves to choose what I am doing, dump valve, outside shower, external pump switch.
I think I am going to have to remove all of the knobs and the inside wall of this thing to track where the leak is coming from. Just could not figure out why a leak ONLY when using city water. Maybe the intake to my water tank doesn't use the same line. I do have to configure the valves differently, maybe that reroutes to a different set of plumbing going into the tank.
Thanks everyone!
I will post what I find when I find it. - GrampaR123ExplorerWhat do you mean when you say "water compartment"? And...you have to remove a cover to get into it? I guess I'll watch and learn.
