- Gadget_ManExplorerI replaced my oil drain plug with a Fumoto Valve. I bought the type with the hose nipple so that I can attach a drain hose for even more convenience. This will make my annual 5 gallon oil change much easier and less messy. I also submit annual oil samples to Blackstone Labs for analysis, so this will make it easier to draw small oil samples as well.
My factory drain plug had a magnet built into the tip to capture any fine metal particles. I wanted to retain that safety measure, so I bought a small magnet at Harbor Freight and affixed it to the bottom of the oil pan. I’m good to go for next year!

- Cloud_DancerExplorer III was making progress on my roof mod/repair. Then, I had to scramble to temporarily seal it so we could use the motorhome for an emergency trip that came up. I started it up, but the alternator would not charge. We went to plan B, drove the SRX and "moteled it". It was not pretty.
We came back, and now I'm staying busy learning the charging system, learning to diagnose and where all related components are located. It looks like tomorrow I'll end up removing the alternator(not an easy job for me), and getting it bench tested. - wvabeerExplorerSealed my roof

- BigdogExplorerMIL died last week,so that changed several plans, but hope to head out for a couple of days after Thanksgiving,so that I can use my Wa state parks old guy winter pass somemore. $0 a nite for no h/u and $6 a nite for h/us at a cost of $50. Paid for itself the first trip out.
Going up now to run the slides out, check the furnace, check the battery water levels, etc and look at a window that I don't think they sealed after pulling it last spring when the roof leak was repaired by replacing the roof and the drivers wall replaced.
Had a problem with water coming in the entrance door from the roof and it ruined the inside steps. It was running down from the roof, into the gutter and overflowing down onto the entrance awning and running in the door. I replaced all the door seals, pulled the door handle and resealed it,cleaned out all the drain holes at the bottom of the door and that only helped a little,so I cut a section out of the gutter behind the door and closed off part of the gutter right over the door and that did cut down a bit. I then put one of those gutter extensions on the end of the gutter over the door and then when the MH is parked,I stick one end of an old CPAP hose over the extension as a gutter downspout and, guess what,no more door leaks. - RayChezExplorerToday we took the front drapes off and am taking them to have them dry cleaned.
