It turns out it wasn't as bad as I had feared. It got into the first stage of a 2 stage blower - the slower moving auger. The cable was nicked in about 8 places, but only through the insulation in one spot. In that spot, it also got through the insulation on one wire but didn't nick the copper. I taped it up for now but it will have to be replaced. - Canadian_RainbiExplorerChecked, emptied the water and topped up the crystals in the three DRI-Z-AIR units in the rig; 1 in the bedroom, 1 on the galley counter and 1 on the dash. All were 1/2 full of water after 4 weeks. (Rainy and humid up here.)
In the rig there is also a 100 watt light bulb on the dash (also lets us know that the power is still on!) a 900 watt heater set at it's lowest--about 10F I think. The two roof vents are half open.
Good news? NO SIGN OF MILDEW OR MOULD!
The DRI-Z-AIR in the car (under a tarp-garage) was the same. - FIRE_UPExplorerWell gang,
Upon returning home from the big event at Quartzsite, we noticed a "grinding" sound coming from the Kwikee steps as they were finishing the retraction process and seating for the travel position. The coach is an '04 Itasca Horizon 36GD with the C-7 330HP CAT and, it's presently touting right at 60,000 miles. The entry step has worked flawless for all those years. Now, it's got an issue.
So, long story short, I decided to dissect that gear box and see what's wrong. What I found was a bad gear. There's two in there. One, the "driven" gear, is about 3" in diameter and has one broken tooth and one, about to break. The second gear, the "drive" gear is in perfect condition. But, if you take a look at the pictures, you'll see that the broken tooth from the driven gear is lodged in between two teeth in the drive gear.
So, what I found out was, the driven gear only uses about half the circumference of teeth for it's operation. So, I rotated the driven gear since it's shaft would allow that, and, re-installed all of it.
It now works flawless and no grinding noises what so ever. Yahoooo!

- BigdogExplorerHave had a problem with the drivers side window leaking and a wet carpet by the slide and have been working on it for a couple of weeks. Had it in two y/ago and they pulled it and sent it out to be resealed to the tune of $600 and then found there was a leak in the roof and replaced that with a new PVC roof courtesy of my insurance company to the tune of $7,300. On checking the window,I found that they had broken off a screwhead in the upper front corner and just put caulk in the hole and the top front of the window had separated from the body. I have resealed that and run a bead of clear silicone all around the window glass after finding that when I squeezed the bottom seal, water came out. It seems to have done the trick. The next thing was that two different techs that looked at it said that I needed to make sure the bottom felt was lined up with the drip holes and it wasn't. So I marked it, pulled it out and cut the drip holes to match the slots in the bottom of the window and that's doing even better. Next is to order drip hole covers to cut down on any water coming in and the wind noise.
After that is a trip into the shop where they did the work and have a discussion with the boss. It was his tech that told me that the window was fine and the weep holes were all lined up correctly.
The other thing I did today was to check the tire condition and air pressure all around and found that in about 4 months and 2,000 miles, they're all still right on the nose. - bigred1cavExplorer

ABS light still on. Wheel sensors next? - turbojimmyExplorerI sucked the power cord into the snowblower.
