Also put that shiny bubble insulation on the inside of the engine dog house. Just cut to fit then use spray adhesive. Tape and/or clamp insulation in place until adhesive sets. Really cuts the sound and heat down.
That stuff is not high temp rated and will probably melt when the weather is hot ..... might even cause a fire. Try using a heat gun on it and see what happens ..... it just shrivles up

Dan, thanks for pointing that out. I really didn't consider it. It's been in for some time now and several thousand miles with no problems but I'll sure keep an eye on it. Apparently its rated to 180 degrees but I can see how it might breakdown over time.

C-dad - ronfishermanModeratorIt works great. Takes a little while to get the last 5 psi in my 95 psi tires. That makes the screw on inflation connector a plus with the pump.
- KendasExplorerSince you already have one Ron, how's it work for you? If it can be modified, I'll have changed out in the time it takes to get the parts to modify it... I'll report back what I find.
Ken - ronfishermanModeratorI have the same compressor. Please report back when you get your hose modified. I have not found anything that will work yet.
- KendasExplorerOrdered a "Master Flow MF-1050 Tsunami 12v High Volume Portable Air Compressor" from Amazon... Needed something portable and this one has pretty good reviews. Tired of going to the "one" gas station in the area (mile and a half away) that still has a "real" compressor and doesn't charge for air. Most of the time it's too crowded with cars and I feel a bit guilty checking seven tires at one visit. I'll probably convert the hose and air chuck to something a little more "standard" after I see what the included ones look/work like.

Fixed the exhaust leak in my Tioga. The last bolt on the right exhaust manifold was broken (Ford 360). I was able to drill it out and retap the hole with the help of a right angle drill and a mirror. Closed the .013 gap down to .002 then put 2 coats of high temp 'ThermoSteel' over the remainder.

Removed cover, fired up furnace, and started loading up for trip south to warmer weather. -17F is just to cold to stay up north any longer.
