- richardwstevensExplorerNew tires all around. It hurts some since 6 year old motorhome only had 5500 miles on the tires, great tread but some cracking on the sidewalls. Leaving for FL in a week, so that will help with the hurt. :)

Oh yes. Checked the fuse too. Later while checking the instructions I found a CB that I didn't check. I'll do that in the next few days before it turns cold again.
Thanks for the suggestion tho.
Did you check the breaker beside the start switch on the Gen???? - Navy_SmokerExplorerWashed the roof and put the winter cover on it.

- tenbearExplorerWent out and started the generator. Couldn't get any power out of it. Guess it is one more job for when the snow disappears. Also plugged in 2 more LED lights.
- HandbasketExplorerAu, the club is the Astronomy Club of Asheville, www.astroasheville.org. I've only been a member for about a year, tho' astronomy has been a hobby of mine for about 50 years. It's a very active bunch with excellent officers.
Jim, "There's a fine line between 'hobby' and 'mental illness'." - woodworker414ExplorerRan the genny for awhile, then crawl under to get a good look at the extensions, getting ready to change out the hitch from 3500# to a 5000# hitch. Any neccessary mods will be done according to Ford specs.
Like others waithing for spring.
Bill - pdmac1946ExplorerAm here in southern Arizona in my Class C " Winter Retreat ". Setup two 5 watt solar panels to hook to vehicle and coach batteries to keep them charged while I leave it here from about April until next December. Seems to work well.

I took the Tiger all of seven miles from home to Tanbark Ridge Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway Friday night for an astronomy club stargaze. Since it was in the 30's, falling into the 20's, with a light wind blowing, it made a welcome warming room for a few of us, and I could fix hot chocolate & coffee. Had an excellent night of double stars, star clusters, nebulae, galaxies, and Jupiter & its moons. I've got bigger telescopes, but my beat-up little Celestron C5 SCT lives in the Tiger.
Skies permitting, tonight I'll be driving the Tiger to an educational event that the club is doing for a local elementary school. The forecast is 'iffy' at present, tho'.
Jim, "I still miss Pluto."
That brings back some memories. About 15 years ago I was in a unique astronomy club, and I also did star outings with at school camp, and when my son was in scouting I also was the astronomy merit badge counselor. And it all started because a friend of mine at work had a C-5 telescope and heard me talking about thinking of building my own.
He said he'd rather let me use it and let it die in his garage. And boy did I use it. Many fond memories with that scope. You could set it up on the tripod and hike a mile in the dark, with no problem. I also took the scouts to three RTMC Science Expos up in the big bear mountains here in California. It's an annual event I recommend it highly. Astronomy clubs and astronomers of all levels meet there. RTMC stands for the Riverside Telescope Makers Conference. The turnout is about 2000 a weekend. Our club was called GAMA, the Golfing Astronomers Musicians Association. Our star parties were Star campouts for 2 to 3 days. I bet you had a great time up there did you catch Orion M42? A park ranger that Yosemite a glacier point calls at our neighborhood nebula. I took the C-5 up there with us and we did astronomy with the Ranger. Nobody else had brought a scope up there.
We had a good Saturn shot that night. I let all the visitors up there look through it after the Rangers talk. One lady looked through it and then asked me where do you put the slide. She didn't realize she was looking at Saturn live. What's the name of your Star club?:C
