- pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
Monitored the solar--it kept me going even in the rain. It's good to have lots of battery bank.
I was able to keep the water heater warm enough for a shower. I ran it on 120 volt via the inverter and alternator. - pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
Boondocked in the rain. More rain forecast. Thank goodness I have a good battery bank! - -LqdskierExplorerWashed it top to bottom and got the Bi-annual smog check(living in Ca. stinks sometimes). Also resealed the running lights.
- David_RExplorerFlushed water heater, filled fresh water tank, fired up the fridge, water heater and stove top all on propane, put truck on the battery charger, and just enjoyed having it in the driveway.
- The_FatmanExplorerInstalled new Cigerette lighter socket in cab and ordered parts for new radio install upgrading from the 1996 radio.

Bill - Ductape_DaveExplorerComing to the end of my to-do list this year.
Installed a 12 volt/usb charging station.
Taped up a slightly ripped shower curtain with awning tape.
Installed bedroom side light.
Cut power cord and installed female plug end so I can use my marinco cord which is very flexible, tired of wrestling with the stiff power cord.
Installed 110 volt outlet on 20a breaker and wall mount hair dryer.
Installed side and rear porch lights.
Removed panel cover on water heater under sink and made a recessed shelf that is 2-1/2" deep.
Finishing up pvc end caps that I am making for the bumper tube. - pianotunaNomad IIITook it on a road trip for business.
For fun, I used the inverter energize the water heater. I started out running it 5 minutes on and 5 minutes off, then I switched to 10 minutes on and 5 minutes off. At the end I ran the heater for 15 minutes. To end the process I turned off the heater while I found a level place to park.
I have a scan gauge and it appeared to indicate that there was no change in mileage while running the water heater.
For the rest of the trip I ran the fridge on the 120 volt setting. - pianotunaNomad IIIToday my solar system replaced all the energy I used in the last 24 hours.
It ran:
coffee pot (one pot)
boiled an egg
ran twin cooling fans for the fridge chimney (thermostatically controlled)
ran the indicator light that shows the fridge chimney fans are turned on
ran a fantastic fan roof vent for 10 hours on low
cooked a pork chop in a George Foreman Grill
cooked a wiener in the grill
ran an led light for 2 hours
ran the gas valve in the fridge and the interior light when door was opened
recharged and ran my laptop for six hours
recharged and ran my cell phone (using it as a hot spot) for six hours
serviced the trik-l-start circuit for the chassis battery
powered the inverter (1/2 amp) for six hours
powered the idiot light on the charge wizard
powered the display on the hall effect ammeter
I'm well pleased with these results. - sask66ExplorerBrought the Aspect home to de-winterize. Stood on my head to reach all the valves that are located under the bed...in a hole about a foot wide! Got the pink stuff flushed out, ran the generator and actually got to use the A.C. as it is finally starting to warm up here. Added the Geo system stuff to the grey and black. Going to work a couple of days at the job and then take off for a couple on the first trip of this year.
