- PSA1000ExplorerSince we just got this motorhome last week, we are still trying to get used to things in it. I was trying to figure out how to put water in it and found out by trial and error to just put the hose in that opening near the driver's door....the other method is a direct connection towards the rear of the mh that directly connects to our outside water connection.
- Navy_SmokerExplorerWashed the total RV; Cleaned the back and right sidewall with BKF and them waxed them. Plan on doing the left side and front fiberglass sections tomorrow. Had a hard rain about an hour ago and have found a new leak around the air conditioner. I guess I'll also being inspecting the gasket and either tightening the bolts or replacing it on Friday.
We're getting it ready for a trip the beach in three weeks.
Bill - woodworker414ExplorerHot here in mid MO. Cleaned the cab real good, use a clay bar to get thegrit off the hood and top of the fenders. Then 2 coats of wax. The C is looking good.
Bill - noe-placeExplorerReplaced all the detectors; carbon monoxide, smoke and propane leak detector. All three were past the mfr's suggested replacement dates.
- woodworker414Explorerrichard wise, been there done that. Well almost. Was crossing the bridg across the Mississippi River at the lowest end of IL, after crossing the Ohio River from KY to IL. Were heading home in MO. I was pullling a 5er at that time. And I know if you foot on the gas pedal feels like its in the middle of the lane you probably are. A semi was headeding east as we were heading west,we were going to pass each other about mid span. If you have ever been on these bridges you will know what I am talking about. So for some silly reason, I didn't trust myself, so I move over to the right. Mistake, but I was lucky, I was moving to the right real slow, and then the mirror rubbed against the barrier, and that made me think he, trust yourself and I moved back to the left were I should have stayed. And the semi passed like normal. And I had passed many semi's on that bridge. Looked at the mirfror at the next fuel stop, just a little rub mark. Yep I got off lucky.
And you rihgt admit to nothing.
Bill - 2001_Ford_E450ExplorerI rolled on Hengs Rubber Roof Coating. Feeling a little dumb. Had the Rv since 2005 and never coated the roof. I only recently learned that some people say to do it every year. Before using the Hengs, I cleaned the roof with Dawn dish detergent as recommended by dealer. I thought the blackness on the roof needed to be removed. What I realized is that the blackness was the rubber roofing itself. Almost all the previous coating was worn off! Lesson learned - I wont be waiting eight years to coat it again!
- richardwiseExplorerToday was needed repairs day. Took the right outside mirror off and
took it to a glass shop, a road sign jumped out and broke it yesterday (never admit anything, nobody saw me do it). Then I
spend the afternoon cleaning corrosion out of tail light sockets,
I like to have them work to stay legal.
