- ericsmith32ExplorerFlushed out a majority of the pink stuff yesterday, one more flush and I'll call it good. Checking things over before the trip on Thursday. Didn't know about the altitude adjustment on the generator it'll probably run like new now. Alot more packing tomorrow.
- fireman93514Explorerreplaced all my light bulbs with LED's.
- pianotunaNomad IIIContacted my installer for a whole passel of upgrades!
- OldRadiosExplorerGot the rear back-up camera installed. It's a flush mount angled slightly down. Put it in the top center of the rear cargo hatch hooked up to the reverse lights. Works well with a wireless transmitter. It will make lining up the trailer hitch much easier. Had a license plate camera on the drivers side corner before which was worthless with the trailer.
Now I have to figure out where to mount the 7" monitor in the cab. For now it just sits on the doghouse and plugs into the cigarette lighter when I want to use it. Previous owner had it mounted on top of the dash. I don't like anything blocking my view. At some point I might add a second camera on the passenger side to help with blind spots.
Also got the compressor bolted down so it's mounted permanently in the rear cargo area. Got a 50' lightweight hose for it so I can easily reach every tire. - woodworker414ExplorerHey OldRadios, that is high on my to do list. I hope to have my camera system installed by the end of April for a trip down to the gulf.
I have to wait on the son in law to do it for me. My vision won't let me do that kind of stuff any more.
How many camerss are you installing?
Mind is a 3 camera systerm. I think that the side cameras will be mounted on the top of ths ideview mirrors. It will be so nice to see more of what is going on behind us going down the road and when making lane changews.

Bill - OldRadiosExplorerWow! 43 degrees in the shade today. I'm workin' on installing a new back-up camera!
- Desert_CaptainExplorer IIII've been shopping, mostly on the internet, for a new BBQ. Quickly narrowed it down to the Weber Q100. Seems like everyone sells them for the same price, $169. Stopped by Loew's yesterday and they had a Weber Q 120 for $179. I asked if they would come down to the $169 price I had seen on the Q100. The guy showed me the new model Q200 for $200 that had just come in but it was more than I wanted to spend.
He hem hawed around, spoke to his supervisor and came back announcing that the Q120 was the last one in stock, no box but perfect other than that so I asked him to "Make me a deal". How about $130 he offered and I simply said SOLD! Got to the register, pulled out my VA ID and asked if they still honored their veterans discount, they do. Walked out the door for $117! Can't wait to break it in next week up at Roosevelt Lake. Like the man said....

There have been a couple of threads about 14v TVs. Generally they agree that they work well in a 12v system, which is usually in the 13+v range.
Here is a link to one of them.
Thanks for the link. I figured it should work fine. It will be nice knowing what DC voltage the TV actually runs on using the power brick. - tenbearExplorer

In expatiation of spring within the next six months I ordered a 24" Samsung HD TV for the bedroom. Has a 120 Volt AC to 14 Volt DC power brick so I will run tests on it to see what DC voltage/current the brick actually supplies the TV under load. I hope 12-13 VDC will be OK so I can run it off the AC or batteries if I choose. Will post the results when it arrives and I test it.
It looks like all the smaller Samsung HD TVs up to 24" have the 120V/14V power brick.
