- Desert_CaptainExplorer IIIWe are headed out for a ten day trip to Quartzite, Joshua Tree NP and then south to San Diego so today was spent making sure the coach was ready. Took it to my local tire guys and had them air up the front to 65 and 70 on the rears in anticipation of running fully loaded. Filled the fuel tank ($1.95 a gallon) and topped off the LP tank at $2.99 a gallon.
We had several nights of mid twenties last week so I added 20 gallons to the empty water tank and checked all of my plumbing. I had drained the water tank and added RV anti freeze to the traps, black and grey tanks which worked well as there was no damage. The generator, water heater, stove, furnace and frig all fired right off.
We'll pull the coach in front of the house on the 18th and load. Bright and early Monday the 19th we will be off to the Big Tent in the land of crazy. This will be our 5th year in a row for the Q, can't wait.
:B - CalisdadExplorerI quickly tired of reaching in the small door provided for under the sink storage. I cut the side panel out and used the material to make a bigger door. The small bungee keeps it shut while traveling.

- CalisdadExplorerEver turn a corner and have a gallon of milk shift in the refer, pop the door open and go flying across the RV? Yeah- once is more than enough. A well placed hook will fit in the hardware and end that problem forever. Some grinding might be necessary.

- CalisdadExplorerWe use the RV a lot when hunting season arrives. This is a door mat fitted to the entry well as just another line of defense against mud:

Safe Travels. - ericsmith32ExplorerMaking some modifications will it's down for a couple months. Spent 41 days and put 6k miles on it last year so now I have good idea on what needs to be changed. Got done with the shelf above, good and sturdy.
Out with this piece of junk.. hate it with a passion.
In.. Minus the shower curtain that's on the next shopping list.
Had to trim the pole down which was tricky but not terrible. The green rod doesn't match well but was free so can't complain. The channels from the old accordion junk was glued down so decided to leave it. Will help to keep water in and think I'll get another rod for the middle to dry towels.
Next is some wire shelving for the back wardrobe closets and maybe add some lights. - ericsmith32Explorer

It was funny how many cars would start to pass and then realize it Santa was on the mirror then slow down to take a pic. Unfortunately think I traumatized a few kiddo's.. - ericsmith32ExplorerAfter thinking a bit I do want to put a light over there for hooking up after dark. That'll be a good place for it! Running the wire won't be fun though.
- snowdanceExplorerericsmith32 Just change the screw out to a threaded screw and put a stainless washer and cap nut on the out side. It will look fine no one will notice except you, and when you walk by a rig with a cap nut on the out side you will know some one else screwed up too.
- ericsmith32ExplorerTook down the cheap worthless medicine cabinet and put these shelve's up. Best part everything was free except I have to get one more bracket.. worst part tried one long screw and right through the side. Well got that screw up for 2015 out of the way. Now have to figure out something for the old screws. I put eternabond on the hole on the outside!
