- Mich_FExplorerIn the last few days we bought and installed a new skylight for over the shower, started recaulking everything on the roof, as well as sealing up the newly rebuilt cabover. Bought new front clearance lights, bought a new 40" TV, surround sound DVD player and a bracket for mounting the new TV. Working on getting the generator running again. All this for my 31C. The rebuild is getting closer to being finished. :C
- bassman2572ExplorerIt was Saturday, but replaced the oil pan on the engine. Ah, the joys of a 39 year-old motor-home!
- Dawghouse92ExplorerTook apart antenna and lubed up all the gears. Cranks smoothly now. Also cleaned and lubed up all necessary parts of the slide out.
Almost that time! - Dar_HExplorerBrought it home from winter storage.
- pianotunaNomad IIIMoved back to urban docking hurrah!
- tenbearExplorerMine had no wall switches either. I found a way to add switches for some of the more difficult to reach lights. The bedroom light was over the bed and my wife had to stand on the bed to reach it. Also the bathroom lights and exhaust fan, difficult to reach once you sat down. Almost forgot, the reading light over the bed. Couldn't reach it while lying in the bed.
- jillhopExplorerMy 1998 Coachmen Class C also has no wall switches--only on the light fixtures. It's fine with me, no kids or other short people aboard!
- ericsmith32ExplorerYou got it. I didn't state it but the only switches are on the fixtures themselves. It is bottom of line Jayco so that's probably why.
- bukhrnNomaderic, I'm a little confused, are you saying that a Jayco has NO wall switches anywhere for the lights? They are all on the light fixtures themselves?

Finally said it's time to fix the speed-O on our 2004 Jayco! So off came the dash. The chassis is an E450 so it took a bit to figure out how to remove the trim panel. Two screws in the top of the dash, then carefully pulling the dash trim off. Move steering wheel to lowest position, and shift lever to the lowest shift point. Four more screws to remove the instrument cluster... then remove the shift indicator first followed by reaching behind cluster and unplug the three wiring plugs. Out comes the instrument cluster. Summit now supplies rebuilt instrument clusters. They are actually shipped from Dorman.
As long as the dash was out and I wait for the replacement instrument cluster I now have installed a new flat screen radio with GPS, XM radio feed, and rear camera. A little trim in the dash framing and it slipped right in.
Pulling apart the dash on the Ford looks alot simpler than on the Chevy! And all I wanted to do was change the radio!
