- DaHoseExplorerI just installed a new burner tube for my hot water heater. Now it doesn't look like a post apocalyptic junkyard find.

Got 1,000 miles completed of our trip back to the cold north. So far good weather and roads. With a couple of friend and shopping stops. Should make it home by middle of next week.
Seen a lot of Class C's on the road.
Take your time Ron.
It's snowing in Denver this A.M........but will of course be melted by this Afternoon or Tomorrow. :)
I told my daughter I wanted a "return to the 70's".
She asked if I meant the temperature or the decade.

We are the middle of MO. Couldn't ask for better weather for traveling. - tpiExplorerIn the last few weeks
1. Replaced Parallax 7345 power converter with Progressive Dynamics 4645 three step unit. Goal is to get better initial charge rate when using generator.
2. Added 100 watt solar panel to factory setup of 200 watts. This doesn't give the best output for a 300 watt system (due to factory wiring length and size), but it is up by 5 amps over the factory setup at mid day. Well worth it for cost of 100 watt panel these days.
3. Replaced a single 1141 light fixture on kitchen ceiling with a double 1141 fixture. Brighten it up a bit. Equipped with LEDs.
4. Waxed RV. - rehoppeExplorer

- BobK53ExplorerJust added two new coach batteries with 500 amp/hours. The original coach battery location only has room for one regular size battery so the new batteries had to go in the basement area under the bed (Jayco Greyhawk 31FK). Also added a new inverter. The old inverter quit working even though we had never used it. When we turned it on the 110 outlets had no power unless we were plugged in at an RV park. I finally figured out that the inverter, as installed by Jayco, only supplied power to the outlet behind the TV. I guess that was because the Jayco supplied coach battery was one of those RV/Marine dual purpose batteries that are not really good as starting batteries and certainly not very good deep cycle batteries. If you plug in every night and don't need them then they are pretty good.
In addition I installed a charge controller and will SOON add the solar panels. Hello more boondocking. - pianotunaNomad IIIMoved to a 3rd urban docking location
