Tonight's supposed to hit 25*. I've got the heater on in the RV while it's parked outside.
Darn.
I'm ready for the 70 degree temps we're supposed to be having! - DrewEExplorer III'Twas yesterday, but close enough...
Disconnected and dropped the generator, to remove its starter motor, and verified that it was indeed toasted as I expected. It died when I attempted to exercise it over the winter and it didn't want to turn over/start. The starter had always been rather weak since I got the RV, not always able to spin the engine over the compression stroke on the first try. I discovered a couple of problems: one of the four brushes disconnected from its lead (which I think was the preexisting problem), and one or two open coils in the rotor (which is what finally did it in).
Free tip: If you need to drop your generator for service, consider running that side/end of your RV up on ramps before starting work for additional clearance. I couldn't quite get enough room to slide it out the side once down save by disconnecting the exhaust pipe. I elected to just work with it underneath the RV—not super convenient, but easier than hoisting it back up and going at things again. - EMD360ExplorerSnow last night! - 5MainecampersExplorerOpened up, drove around the block and up to cruising speed-- all systems check; dewinterized and ran all appliances- generator, fridge, hot water, A/C-- all systems check; brought up to garage for state inspection and lube/oil/filter... First trip next weekend!
- ericsmith32ExplorerGot some Alpha self-leveling caulk and a new range vent so have some work to do! Found a RV place only a few miles from us that we never knew existed. Seems cheaper than the other place and pretty close to online. It's located on SouthWest blvd if there's any KC folks interested.
- Mich_FExplorerPut a patch on the 3/8" tear in the TPO roof on my 31K. Cleaned the old caulking off the corner metal hold down pieces on my skylight, getting it prepped for recaulking.

Also, having the air conditioner and microwave on at the same time blew a breaker in her garage that the RV was plugged in. Is it just a good idea not to have them both on at the same time? (turn AC off while microwave is on?)
Had a blast even though it was in the driveway!
The microwave and the AC both draw a lot of current. Your RV is probably 30 Amp hookup. Your garage may be 20 Amps. That would explain why the garage breaker opened. If the AC and microwave on at the same time trips the 30 Amp breaker at a CG, then don't run them both at the same time. If you are running them both, turn on the AC first, it has a high start-up current. If the cooling kicks on when they are both running it may still trip the breaker. - tenbearExplorer

We driveway camped in it. Found out we cannot run the NuWave Oven and T-Fal Air Fryer at the same time. Air fryer heated up the cab too much so the NuWave wins!

- mahaneyExplorerMostly finished rebuilding coach door....a little wind got behind factory door and ripped sizeable amount off...."frame" was rotting out on bottom, so I figured why not just rebuild whole thing, since I refuse to pay $1000 when I have around $60 invested to do a better job.
