- KJaneeMExplorerSo easy...even girls can do it! Our black water tank drain connection is leaking. My partner dumped (of course!) and flushed out the tank...then removed the "leaky" drain/piping connection at the bottom of our black water tank. After hours of internet research, conversations by phone, email, and in person with a mobile RV repair guy, employees at the Camping World parts counter, and the plumbing specialists at Lowe's...we believe we have a repair plan. We need part 88-1260 (ABS Adapter) made by Ameri-kart to attach to the drain on the bottom of the black water tank. This part will be attached using "Universal Cement" to glue the 88-1260 part into the tank, then connect all of the other black water plumbing (all parts have been scouted and purchased for replacement - including new gaskets for the valves).
FYI - There is NO good information anywhere on the internet that outlines the actual details of replacing a black water tank, or of replacing the plumbing of a black water tank! (Please let us know if you know otherwise.)
We will attempt the re-plumb next weekend. P.S. - We will also use a black water tank "drip pan" under the new plumbing to "catch" any drips and help us ensure our solution worked...
We welcome comments and will keep you posted on the outcome. - Usmc68ExplorerDrove from San Carlos, Sonora to Fort Worth in 2 days. The new Bilstein HD shocks are amazing!! Great ride the whole way. Nobody got seasick :-)

Hired a guy to come teach me all about my new RV, the ins and outs, how to set up camp, etc. And.... now I think I can really do it! I can go somewhere in my new rig and feel almost confident I can set it up all by myself! Woo Hoo!!! What a great guy. No stopping me now!
Great now we expect to see you out there real soon.

Bet that is sweet, Just what I need to complete.
Yesterday/this morning:
:C
Custom Built 1977 Dodge MH complete exhaust
(Huge difference in power compared to the stock manifolds with true dual 2" piping and nasty mufflers)
:C
~De-constructed/re-constructed....the Brand new Dodge truck headers(Flowtech..easy to make fit and was a decent score off ebay..$85)).
:C
~Went with true dual 50" long 3" dia. pipes from the headers with a 3" "H" pipe connecting them together and then into dual Flowmaster 40 series mufflers(another scream'in deal off ebay..$45.)
:C
*Came out of the mufflers with 2.25" leading to my decorative side exit polished tips for either side, giving it just enough back pressure and the sweet crackle sound I love.
:C
^^^^LOL, sounds like the MH is ready for the drag strip, still quiet when I want it, yet beastly sounding when you tromp the throttle!!^^^^ - rehoppeExplorer

How's your brakes?
You'll NEED them next time you go down a long grade!
The good news; NO back pressure.
The bad news; NO back pressure.
But it'll run Real good. :B Nice scores on ebay! Those are what I paid 20 years ago, if I remember correctly. Crackles pretty good when you rack it, I'll bet.
