- pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
Found a spray wash facility and cleaned up the RV a bit--not a perfect job--just making it look a bit better. - BennieHExplorerReplaced the Awning Sunday. Took about 2 hours. Not too bad a job when you recruit 2 helpers.
We did replace the plain vinyl one with one that has the metal protective cover. Thanks to the folks at PPL for getting me what I needed. - pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
I went to visit SWD, a valued RVNET member in my Class C. - W4MBGExplorerfinally mounted the three front speakers for the HT rig in the cabover. sounds nice! next up: surround speakers and power for the sub.
- Navy_SmokerExplorerReplaced the original TV with a LED flat screen, added a DVD player, installed a DirecTV receiver and reconfigured the Winegard sattelite antenna from Dish Network to DirectTV. We are now ready for our trip later this week.
- trnflaExplorerHad the left front brake caliper replaced since the flexible lines helped but I think the caliper got overheated.
Then did the RMP treatment. Link to the thread with pictures RMP pictures - eric1514ExplorerCoated the roof.
My wife and I were on the roof at 5 this morning and by 9 we had cleaned/etched it, washed it well, dried it and applied 2 coats of coating. I'm taking a break now, but sometime this afternoon, I'll paint one more coat as I have more product.
I used the Dicor brand 2 part system. We'll see how it holds up. Sure looks nice now!
Eric - pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
Having the insides cleaned. Our housekeeper seems to not mind working in it. - pianotunaNomad IIIHi crawford,
I RV in extreme cold in the winter time (-37 C). Dometic recommends not using an absorption fridge below freezing. During part of the ammonia cycle water is produced. If the water freezes the fridge may "unlove you" and die prematurely.
The solution is to restrict air flow and provide a heat source in addition to what the fridge creates. I'll probably have to experiment with various wattage bulbs to get the right "balance".
The fridge is plugged in before the thermocube switch. I.E. surge protector, current tap (fridge)Thermocube, heat source (40 watt bulb)crawford wrote:
pianotuna Why did you add it to refrigerator I can't see doing it to a electric heater. I wouldn't add it to a electric stove would you, same thing. - crawfordExplorerpianotuna Why did you add it to refrigerator I can't see doing it to a electric heater.
