- ericsmith32ExplorerBIL gave me a couple fishing poles so got those ready for the lake next weekend..

Pulled the battery out to check the levels and a general clean and found this..
At least now I why the battery disconnect doesn't work. Solenoid is bad. At least they didn't bypass the breaker. Need to trace all the wiring to much is going to just the battery.
Got tired of the vent flapping.. (ugly alert)

I'll clean it up a bit more this week. Was aiming for something a bit nicer. Also clean the leaf out fan noisy bugger and the leaves from the housing. Had a loose fuse on the windshield washer that's fixed. Tired but my baby is getting in better shape little by little. - pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
Replaced the 100 watt heater for my waste tanks with a 600 watt.
The 100 watt seems to need to be warm before it can be used for warming. Useless! - jeeperdude10ExplorerFixed my generator exhaust pipe 'holder upper'..seems the rubber shock absorber thing broke through the bolt holes and fell. Also, tightened the set screw on my slide topper, as when tried to open slide, it worked fine at the bottom, but the top kept "bottoming out"..called THOR and focused on the topper..after careful scrutinizing found the loose screw. And whamo...ALL IS WELL.... If you have a topper-check that 'set screw'!!!!
- ericsmith32ExplorerWhat a pain but got the element put in. Had to pull it out which wasn't easy. At least now have hot water from the electric. Save us a bit on propane since we're normally plugged in. Got the 1500w from Home Depot. Put the tool-less ends on the hoses.. wow that was simple and no more leaks! Ought to buy some Eternabond next.
- ericsmith32ExplorerGot some stuff done.. adjusted the bathroom door so it latches, adjusted the screen door so it latches, tried to adjust the main door still not tight don't know of anyway to make it tight without cutting the frame. I wonder if they were even adjusted properly from the factory!
Put some rubber gasket squares on the cabinets so it'll be a bit quieter down the road. Started raining so got out the brush and started washing. Much easier to wash those bugs off in the rain. Managed to get off the orange from those cones in Louisiana. Hit the cones even though I was dragging the dual on the curb on the other side!
Going to go get the water heater element and tool tomorrow so hopefully will get that working. Will put a spigot on the water heater drain while I'm at it. After that may change out the male end on the short hose that came with RV. Think some tried to tighten it down with clamp-on's. Not sure what I'll do after all that. - Ductape_DaveExplorerReplaced all the rusting holding tank valve bolts and nuts with stainless steel ones. Figured it was a lot easier to replace them now while they still came apart instead of fighting with a saw in the middle of a trip.
- pianotunaNomad IIIPulled into the campground. Interior of rv was -2 c (28 f) at 3 p.m. Turned on all but one of my electric heaters. By 6 p.m. interior was 16 c (62 f). The floors are still cold--but that will improve overnight.
- wbwoodExplorerWasn't today, but yesterday. Repaired a pinched wire going to the tv. Also replaced the inline fuse for it which was blown. Saved myself some money doing it myself.
- WA7NDDExplorerUpgraded my Parallax/Magnetek 6345 single stage converter to Progressive Dynamics PD 4655 three stage converter.
- jeeperdude10ExplorerChecked and topped off both house and coach batteries with distilled water. Getting ready for taking'er out. Once winter is FINALLY gone, will dewinterize.
