- tpiExplorerOld Mabel....Have friend who calls his Winnebago class A "Big Bertha." I guess mine is Little Bertha. OK enough of that.
Getting ready for Utah in fall vacation. Oil change w/ Mobil 1 5W20 and Motorcraft oil filter. Grease steering linkage. Vacuum interior. Clean and prep. Remove wheel covers and check rear tire pressure (I'm old school- no simulators here). Gas up with Kirkland Signature 87 and load up in the store!
Can't wait :) - DaHoseExplorerGot old Mabel back from the shop today. They cleaned out and dialed in the carburetor and she passed smog with flying colors. She runs GREAT now!
Jose - tenbearExplorerSome time ago I read a story about someone that had a wire fence that ran under a power line. He apparently ran the lights in his house off his fence. The story didn't give any details as to how he did it.
If I remember correctly, the power company was trying to charge him for the power and he was fighting it. - HarvardExplorer

Might run a 8 digit 4 function calculator, and do not try to divide 22 by 7. :B - pianotunaNomad IIIHi Harvard,
Now, if only we could "harvest" that voltage.... - HarvardExplorerStopped briefly under a 6KV single phase power line that runs across a nearby gravelled country road to verify how much "hot skin" voltage our 28 foot unit picks up from the power line. Measured a steady 62 VAC RMS (peak 88 VAC) chassis (bumper) to EARTH voltage. Our unit has a rubber roof and a non conductive siding material.
- pianotunaNomad IIIDrove it to Lumsden, and used the new hybrid inverter to limit the incoming power to 15 amps. Any over loads will be powered from the battery bank. In the old days I had to be careful to never overload a 15 amp circuit.
- ol__yellerExplorer IITook delivery yesterday. Today was scrub, scrub, scrub. Got the carpet looking good once again and got rid of PO touches that we didn't care for. Tomorrow we clean the bathroom and the cab and we are ready to go camping!
- Navy_SmokerExplorerWashed and waxed it. Sorted the basement storage compartments and removed unused items in preparation of a trip to the Keys next month. I want to minimize the weight of the coach for the trip.
- klutchdustExplorer IIRan HDMI cable for the rear tv. Repaired the front headliner by adding a metal angle underneath the wooden cove moulding. Added plastic screw certs into the
wood to hold the air conditioner shroud to the ceiling. Caulked all holes I needed to drill to run HDMI cable. Checked condition of the tires, visual inspection.
ordered a new inverter for rear TV.
