What good are clearance lights?
So I am resealing my roof and the front clearance lights look bad, cracked, screws rusted up and I am thinking about replacing them. Then I wonder, what good are they? Are they required? Why? Why not...

There required in Washington State and all red clearance lights go in back. If you drive by a LEO and he's bored it could turn into a fishing trip and those aren't good!
