What good are clearance lights?
So I am resealing my roof and the front clearance lights look bad, cracked, screws rusted up and I am thinking about replacing them. Then I wonder, what good are they? Are they required? Why? Why not...

I do just love those folks that are in the left lane on the freeway and see your turn signal when you need to move over and pull up even with a corner of your rig and hang there.:E
Most newer vehicles, including RV's, have side turn signals. Many of the newer cars and pick-up trucks have them in the side exterior rear view mirror and many RV's, including mine, have side turn signals down by the front tire. They are effective and it does help to inform people next to you of your intentions. That does not always mean that the other drivers will allow you to pull over but in most cases, it does seem to help.
