Our 2004 Jeep Liberty automatic is very easy to tow 4-down and has given us many wonderful outings in the backcountry. It has 130,000 miles plus 60,000 towing miles on it and still looks and drive fine. A CRV which is low to the ground will not let you do 4-wheeling which is sooooo much fun! We, too, will be looking at the 'new' Liberty replacement in the Fall.
