Check the owners manual before adding fluid. You did not say whether the leveling jacks which may operate off the same hydraulic tank were extended or retracted. My owners manual specifies checking fluid level with jacks retracted and slides also retracted.
My Jacks are single acting! hydraulic fluid pushes jacks down and valves hold pressure until released and fluid returns to the tank by spring pressure when the valves are opened to store the jacks.
