I don't feel uneasy. No one knows where we live, I use a forum name that is not connected to my residence and I block out license numbers on any I post with photos.
Burglars, at least around us, don't give much thought into checking rv forums to see who's home or away. :E - past-MIdirectorExplorerWife wants to finish up her craft show schedule this year since it's her 25th year at the Matthes Tree Farm in Ida so we'll be in MI till the middle of December. Then down to the daughters in KY for Christmas, then New Years in GA at my brother's with our 98 year old mother. They on the first for a winter site in Hudson, FL until at least May 1. Retired this year and really starting to enjoy full timing and NO ALARM CLOCK!!!

Packerbacker, we have been searching for a nice spot to go for a long weekend in SC. Any recommendations where you go, or is it a long term only place
We have a winter seasonal site at Myrtle Beach Travel Park from October thru the end of March. We also do some traveling from our campsite on occasion. Seasonal campers make up around a third of the capacity, the campground is primarily used by vacationers and weekenders. - dan-nickieExplorerTo Talladega races about Oct 16.
Then down to the Gulf coast for a bit.
After that, we'll just slowly make our way back home to Texas. - Dutch_12078Explorer IIWe rarely plan our trips ahead of time, often deciding to go somewhere the day before we leave. Sometimes we don't decide on a destination until we're underway, so much advance planning would be a bit difficult for us most of the time. Roughly, we'll probably be in MI sometime next month to visit various friends, and then maybe back to our cottage before heading towards FL sometime after Christmas. Last winter, we actually got to FL, but this winter, who knows where we'll end up, other than it will be someplace warmer than Upstate NY.

- Community AlumniLeaving this weekend for our winter spot in Myrtle Beach (SC). Going to spend some time traveling in Pennsylvania & Virginia, not in a hurray so we'll take a week to get there. :C

Retiring in November, then next spring heading up the West Coast, across the Northern Border, south on the East Coast, and west through the Southern U.S. And we're taking many months to do it with no set itinerary. In 2015, it's north to Alaska for the whole summer.
Hey Jim sounds cool your doing the opposite trip I'm doing. My stay over in Tucson is in Oro Valley where I have relatives. When u slide down the east coast give me a shout, have some nice places to recommend for stay overs, not too far from beach and Six Flags. We are heading west along the south rather than the north, however probably taking 80 back east. - Devonm2012ExplorerCurrently sitting in NC for service and then will continue my way to an RV resort in Gulf Shores, AL for a few months. Will probably kick around Florida during the month of February but will be in AL most of the winter. Have had an amazing summer but ready for a break. We lost our beloved Maltese (age almost 17) while in Bar Harbor, Maine this summer so need some time to regroup a bit.
