Where do you dump your gray water?

Most campers I have looked at have the gray and black water tanks about the same size. In my experience camping I have never produced nearly as much black water as gray. If other people are this way then either most campers are designed badly or people have figured out a way of dumping their gray water without going to a dump station that also accepts black. Do you have the same imbalance? What do you do?

  • Law in all states prohibits dumping human wastewater on the ground surface.
That said, there are many ways to extend your need to dump like some mentioned here.
Please find proper disposal when needed.
The ants and other bugs that feed on it will not thank you.

When we're boondocking, I can balance the two tank levels using the third valve I installed on the main waste outlet. That usually buys us at least two or three more days before we need to dump, sometimes more.

    X2. This works well.

  • I have a long thread that is full of tips from people called "how do you handle your grey water"...
  • My 95 Bounder came with a 60 gallon black tank and a 50 gallon gray tank. I installed a transfer pump to move the gray water to the black tank. I'm not advocating watering the flora, but some do.

Most Class A MH diesel Pushers always have 40-45 Black and 65-75 Grey
I believe most mid and up Gassers follow the same rule
