Try www.rvparkreviews.com for campers' reviews of many CGs near Asheville. This is the review I wrote for Rutledge Lake CG when we stayed there in 2010: First, must say we liked the campground. Sites were mostly level and gravel. They were a bit narrow, and not really deep. Two big rigs back to back is a real problem. Only a few pull thrus available. Big rig friendly, but not in all sites, for sure. New, big bathhouse and very nice pool. Camp store has very limited inventory, but Wal-Mart is very close. Staff is friendly and very attentive without being intrusive. Wi-Fi works well, even in the back of the campground, and is included in site fee. Ditto cable TV. Satellite TV might be a problem in some sites. CG is south of Asheville in a quiet area, but close enough to make it convenient to everything. Biggest problem is finding the CG. Road signs are difficult to find and the last turn off of Airport Road is difficult to find (remember, it's between the Sonic and IHOP!) Lake is definitely man-made, small and though there are rumors of fish, none were caught the week we were there! If sites were larger grade would be higher. We would not hesitate to return. We camped here in a 30' Travel Trailer.
