The difference in mileage is about 3% or so. If the tires are worn on the toad, a little math shows that tires worn 1/2", in diameter, which means only 1/4" is worn off of the tread, would come close to showing a 3% difference. Just saying that a worn tire rotates more often than a new tire for the same distance.
