where'd toad go?

Funny little thing. Yesterday we came home to Bremerton from Jantzen Beach RV Park in Portland. When I left, I zeroed out the trip odometer on my POS '11 Jeep Liberty because I wanted to see if it was racking up miles because I was told it didn't. When we got home,I entered the mileage on the motorhome at 169 miles and then checked the GPS from the rv park and it was 169 miles. So, here's what was cute, the mileage on the toad, which isn't supposed to register was 174.9 miles. Now I'm trying to figger out where the toad went with out us.

    Are the current tires on the jeep that same size as when came off the assembly line?

    Can't remember which direction mileage will go with an increase or decrease in tire diameter.

    4x4, transfer case in neutral. It doesn't seem to do it all the time either. It didn't do it going to McMinville or to Eugene or up to Portland, but did it on the way home. It is weird and I should have noted the mileage on the regular odometer.
    Those of you with Liberties, do yours seem to have a slow oil leak or hesitate when shifting from reverse to drive or park to drive. I was told the hesitation was the computer doing the shifting.

    I have a 2012 Jeep Liberty and it does not accumulate any miles while being towed. Yours should not either. What's up? Where did you read this mileage increase? Is this a 4x4 or some other model?
